Excellent Sub Woofer
Had my eyes on this sub for a while now. Caught it on sale and got it for $119.00 at my local electronics super store. I paired it with my ES80s and wow, talking about shaking the house. I honestly don`t think I could have done better. Bass is solid and tight. I have a 5:2 Denon setup and can`t wait to get the 2nd sub, not that I really need it now :)

I have this subwoofer for more than 10 years and never failed me. The bass is clear and will rock even your living room. It's a bargain for the price if you consider the quality.

best value ever
I bought one of these subs over 2 years ago and was so impressed that I got another one. Bass is punchy and deep. Shakes my whole house. I cant beleive this model was discontinued. These are worth far more than they ever cost. Excellant subwoofers that I would recomend to this day if you can find them.

I already own this and I am wondering what speakers i should get to accompany this, can i use passive speakers with this as my speaker amp? or do I need to get powered speakers if I do not want to use a receiver?
You will definitely need to get an amplifier in order to power the passive speakers as you cannot power those with the amplifier of the sub woofer. If you don't want to use a receiver then it would be advisable to get powered speakers along with it.

How do I connect this sub to a Yamaha RX v590 receiver?
On the Yamaha RX V590, there is a set of RCA jacks labeled "Output", above the front speaker terminals, to the right of the center/surround terminals. The bottom center jack is labeled "Low Pass for 200 Hz". This is the line-level subwoofer output that you can connect to the SP150's Subwoofer Input using an RCA cable.

is there a "3.5 mm Aux In " port ? If not , how do I hook this up with a portable player device ?
The SP150 is a powered subwoofer, and must be connected to the subwoofer line output of a receiver/amplifier using RCA cable and plugged into the wall outlet in order to function.
